Halloween
I need a break
From the horrors of life
Give me a dark night
With wandering goblins
Ghouls passing by
Blood stained children
Mutilated multitudes
Pounding at my door

Heaven In My Arms
The cosmos
Holds the all of things
The sights
That we have never seen
Massive mounds
Of spheres
And stars
Galaxies
Galore abound
We in perspective
Grains of sand
Our time on earth
Just a note
But wonders come
From great
And small
So when I hold
An infant
Sweet
My arms enfold
All galaxies
The cosmos
Comes so tenderly
Heaven in my arms

Nighttime Dreams
Dreams are a swirl
Of heaven
And earth
Of hopes
And fears
Deep heart desires
And incidental sights
They rule our journey
Of the night
Sometimes they reappear
In the light
But shadowy
They must be
A message
We should heed
Or bedtime food
We should not eat

On This Earthly Walk
If I smoked
I would have a cigarette in my mouth
Now
Shaking my head
And muttering
Bleak
Disillusioned
Jaded
Detached
And
Staring
At
A
Great Abyss
Then
It
Passes
Like a vapor
I am thankful
I have hope
And believe
There is meaning
To be found
On this earthly walk
